We only collect it with clear permission from you and we will be absolutely transparent as to how we use your data and what we use it for. We want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading your data to anybody, this includes any video content you upload to us. To help put your mind at ease, we’ve included everything you need to know in this privacy policy and we’ve done our best not to fill it with legal jargon, so please read on and ask any questions using the contact details provided if you are unsure about anything.

2. Information We Collect

Vidicrew collects both personal and non-personal information from you, including all content contained in any video, comment or other submission that you or your team upload or post through the Service. By “personal information” we mean information that identifies a natural person. When you access our Service online or through our mobile app, we collect your IP address and standard web log information, such as your browser type and the pages you accessed on our website. We also may collect certain geo-location information. If you do not agree to our collection of this information, do not use the Service.

b. Opening an account

  • Social Media Information – such as your Facebook Connect credentials (and information that you authorize Facebook share with us). If you authorize Facebook Connect, the plug-in allows us access to your friends’ contact information.
  • Financial Information – if you are paying for Vidicrew products or service and submit a payment form. Note that Vidicrew uses PayPal for the processing of card payments (although we may agree to submit your card information to the provider on your behalf, upon your request).   • Other User Information – such as your email address and password.
    Video Content – video clips that you or your other contributors submit through the Vidicrew app and web platform in connection with promoting a brand, which might capture a person’s name and likeness or a company’s logos.

c. Monitoring
When using the Vidicrew service, we may collect certain information as described in the sections below for purposes including the provision and improvement of our products and services, troubleshooting bugs, tracking usage and providing content for referring traffic sources. Such information may include IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, preferences, technical session information, browser type, information about your computer, hardware, software, or mobile device, including a device identifier, demographic information including gender, address and age, and navigational data including log files, server logs, clickstream data, and other data such as your location, where enabled, and language preference. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes. If you arrived at our website via a link from another webpage, we may receive aggregate or otherwise anonymous statistical information about your visit to our site. We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site, and to improve the content of our website to better match the interests of our website users. We may combine this automatically collected and other non-personal information with personal information, in which case we will treat the combined information as personal information under this Privacy Policy.

We have the ability to log in to your account under your username, where we can see your user details (excluding any passwords) and we can monitor your gallery content, even if the gallery is set to private. You will not know or see if we have logged into your account.

d. Advertising
Ad Servers, Third Party Advertising and Website Analytics – We may work with website analytics and advertising partners, such as Google or Doubleclick, to deliver Vidicrew advertisements on third party publisher websites, and these partners may set cookies on your computer’s web browser. These cookies allow our partners to recognize your computer so that the ad server can show you Vidicrew advertisements elsewhere on the Internet, and so that our analytics software can measure your engagement and interactions while using In this way, ad servers may compile anonymous, non-personal information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw our advertisements, whether or not you interacted with our advertisements, and actions performed on subsequent visits to This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you, and it allows Vidicrew to optimize the performance of our advertising campaigns and the usability of our website. In other words, we use analytics data in concert with data about our online ads. By doing so, we can understand how anonymous users interacted with our website after seeing our ads.

e. Google Analytics
When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

f. Our app
When you use a Vidicrew mobile application we may automatically receive certain information about your mobile device and use of the application, including a device identifier, operating system, version and other information about your mobile device as well as time spent in different portions of the Vidicrew mobile application. We monitor customer software usage to help us develop the design and layout of the mobile application and to improve the content to better match the interests of our users. We may also collect different types of information about your location, including general information (e.g. IP address, post-code) and more specific information (e.g. GPS-based functionality on mobile devices used to access the Service), and may use that information to customise the Service. If you access the Service through a mobile device and you do not want your device to provide us with location-tracking information, you can disable the GPS or other location-tracking functions on your device, provided your device allows you to do this. g. Information from other sources
Vidicrew may receive information about you from third parties, such as commerce partners, marketers, social network services and other parties that we may use to supplement the information that we collect directly from you. If you connect to a third party network, platform, or service through Vidicrew, you are authorizing us to collect, store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy any and all information that you agreed the social network or other third party platform could provide to Vidicrew based on your settings on the third party social network or platform. Your agreement takes place when you connect with the third party network, platform, or service via our Service, and/or when you connect with one of our applications through one of these services.

Vidicrew may use non-personal information to improve performance of our Service, to understand how anonymous users interact with our website after seeing Vidicrew advertisements, to identify and retarget advertisements to past website visitors, and to optimise the performance of our advertising campaigns. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your media uploads and other user-generated content are lawful and appropriate for our service, particularly insofar as they capture the name and likeness of natural persons or capture company logos. Such content is unencrypted public information that may be accessed and stored by us, and there should be no expectation of privacy or confidentiality in such content. This content can be viewed, downloaded and used by other users depending on the privacy settings applicable to your account. If you submit your content to us, we may publish it on the Vidicrew website or applications along with certain personal information identifying you, e.g. your first and last name or your username, when we have your consent. By contributing to any gallery, you are granting the gallery owner (the person who started the gallery) or the company they work for (if they have included this company name) the rights to use this content for their marketing purposes.

c. Customer Testimonials
At times, we may post customer testimonials on our website which may contain personal information. We will obtain your consent via email and/or opt-in methods prior to posting your name, location, or stated activity/interest along with any testimonial.

d. Third-Party Service Providers
We may use other third-party service providers to offer or facilitate services on our behalf, such as a credit/debit card processing company to charge you for product purchases, and an email service provider to send out emails on our behalf. When you order from Vidicrew, we will share your personal information as necessary for such third-party services providers to provide the applicable service to us or on our behalf. Vidicrew may aggregate and/or anonymise information collected so that the information does not identify you. Our use and disclosure of aggregated, anonymised, and other non-personal information is not subject to any restrictions under this Privacy Policy, and we may disclose it to others without limitation for any purpose.

As part of the registration process for our mailing list, we collect personal information which you submit to us.
